Target Fish
Mebaru, scorpionfish, grouper, and other rockfish
Feature
Compact size, dependable strength.
MiniMini Jig Head was developed to offer sizes smaller than the round jigheads that were mainstream at the time. When it was released, jigheads this small were still rare, and the name "MiniMini Jig Head" naturally became the product name itself.
At that time, jigheads with worm keepers, now a common feature, were also still uncommon. This product was one of the early models to adopt that style.
The hook uses a slightly heavier wire, making it a good choice when you want to reduce the risk of the hook opening and when targeting rockfish such as scorpionfish and grouper. Despite its small size, it has the strength to be used with confidence.
As a rough reference for hook size, the #4 MiniMini Jig Head has a gape width close to the #6 used on Ajibaku Jig Head and Mebary Hayagake Jig Head. However, MiniMini Jig Head uses thicker wire and is designed with greater emphasis on strength.
It can also be used for mebaru, but if you want a more finesse-oriented presentation with a light rig, Mebary Hayagake Jig Head is the better fit. MiniMini Jig Head is better suited to targeting slightly larger fish or fishing styles where you want to hold a specific range more firmly.
Shallow Water / Slow Presentation
Hook #4 / 1.0g
In shallow spots such as harbor-light zones and inner-harbor areas,
1.0g is an easy-to-use weight.
The light head gives a slow fall that naturally covers the upper to mid range.
It is also effective in high-pressure situations and small-bait patterns.
Standard Weight Range
Hook #4 / 1.5g~2.5g
This is the core weight range for many light-game situations
around harbors and breakwaters.
It lets you hold a stable range from mid-depth down to the bottom,
and works with a variety of methods such as straight retrieve and lift-and-fall.
If you are unsure where to start, this is the range to begin with.
Deep Water / Current-Affected Areas
Hook #4 / 3.5g
In deeper areas or places with stronger current, 3.5g is effective.
It helps keep a stable range even near the bottom,
and remains easy to control with drift and tension-fall presentations.
A good weight for probing deeper ranges.
