CONCEPT
Shahrazad is a rod series named after the storyteller of One Thousand and One Nights. It was created with the idea that every angler's experience becomes a story each time it is used. The KR model sits at the center of the series, combining delicate operability, supple follow-through, and the toughness to stand up to unexpected quality fish at a high level. It covers a wide range of species such as horse mackerel, mebaru, scorpionfish, and small trevally, making it a highly versatile light-game rod for both boat and shore fishing.
BLANK Desing
The combination of an ultra-fine tubular tip and a high-carbon blank transmits everything from the inhaling bite of a large mebaru to the subtle touch of small fish with clarity. By pursuing an ideal bend curve, it handles everything from 0.3 g-class light rigs to small plugs with ease. Its well-balanced 6'3" length also brings together easy handling and strong casting distance at a high level.
Butt desing
The butt section uses evenly oriented 4-axis carbon. Its high-rigidity, twist-resistant design gives you extra control even against unexpected bigger fish. The sharp, stable casting stroke also helps light lures achieve solid distance. By setting the action between a tip-fast and mid-bend character, it naturally connects the fine operability needed in light saltwater fishing with the resilience needed to absorb a fish's run.
GUIDE SETTING
KR guides reduce line trouble during casting. Pairing them with lightweight Torzite guide rings keeps tip-heaviness down and delivers crisp handling. The micro-guide concept also transfers vibration from the line efficiently, drawing out the high sensitivity demanded in light-game fishing.
Blank design
A core Shahrazad design element that stays highly sensitive, remains easy to cast, and clearly transmits delicate bites.
Butt design
Increases torsional rigidity and recovery in the butt section, improving both control over unexpected big fish and casting sharpness.
Guide setting
The combination of Torzite rings on all guides and KR guide layout balances sensitivity, casting distance, and trouble-free performance at a high level.
