The Dexter is a high-weight spoon designed with the third cast in mind from the release.
In recent years, fish sizes have decreased, making them more likely to reject lighter spoons, and an increase in
low-activity stocked fish has slowed down their feeding behavior. As a result, the traditional casting spoons are often
retrieved too quickly for the slow-paced bites that have become common.
This spoon is developed with a heavier setting from the beginning, unlike the approach of taking originally 2g spoons
and thickening them to 3g. It combines the weight that allows the hook to penetrate without being deflected even by
smaller fish and the versatility to work at a broad range of speeds, from slow to traditional casting spoon speeds. This
configuration allows it to handle situations where you would typically use a lighter spoon for slow bites.
Furthermore, the high weight and slightly elongated teardrop shape not only offer excellent casting distance for its
class but also allow you to target offshore feeding zones more effectively.
The spoon features a slightly strong rolling wobble action, leaving just enough wobble without making the tip of the
hook shake, and it takes into account the attraction of fish from the surroundings. Despite its weight, it rises quickly
and can effectively cover a wide range, from the offshore surface to the bottom.
